The Pretty Procedure is a visceral live performance work exploring the medicalised body, girlhood, and the pressure to be beautiful. Inspired by lived experience of facial deformity, jaw surgery and body dysmorphia, the piece navigates beauty, shame and the surreal spaces between diagnosis and transformation.
